ASISC Zonal Drawing and Painting Competition 2025-26

Dayanand Public School, Sakchi proudly hosted the ASISC Zonal Painting Competition on Saturday, 28th June 2025. The event saw an overwhelming response, with 24 schools participating from Jamshedpur zone turning the school campus into a vibrant hub of talent, imagination, and artistic fervour. The event was inaugurated by Mr Gian Taneja. Chairman Shiksha Samittee and Mr Rajiv Talwar, Vice Chairman of Siksha Samittee were also present for the event.

The competition aimed to provide a dynamic platform for students to express their thoughts through art and to nurture the creative talents of young minds. The event featured participation across three distinct categories – Sub-Junior (Classes VI to VIII), Junior (Classes IX & X), and Senior (Classes XI & XII) – offering students of all age groups an opportunity to showcase their artistic abilities.

Each category was assigned age-appropriate themes ranging from social issues and environmental awareness to futuristic dreams and cultural narratives. The young artists, equipped with brushes, colours, and a sea of ideas, brought their canvases to life with a unique blend of imagination, technique, and thoughtful expression. The themes encouraged students to reflect on the world around them and translate their ideas into powerful visual stories.

As the host institution, Dayanand Public School ensured flawless planning, warm hospitality, and an inspiring environment for the participants and accompanying staff. The event was conducted in the school’s spacious activity areas and multipurpose hall, which were specially arranged to accommodate the large number of young artists and their creative setups. The school staff, along with student volunteers, worked diligently behind the scenes to make the event a smooth and enriching experience.

The competition was judged by a panel of renowned artists, who evaluated the artwork on parameters such as composition, creativity, colour scheme and interpretation of the theme. The diversity of expression across categories was truly commendable, and the judges lauded the participants for their insight and artistic maturity.

In her address, the Principal of Dayanand Public School expressed her joy and pride in hosting the zonal event, stating, “Art is not just a medium of expression; it is a mirror to the minds of our youth.
