Dayanand Public School had the proud privilege of hosting The Albert Barrow Memorial All India Inter School Creative Writing Competition (Category 1 – Pool C10) on Friday, 11th July 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes XI and XII, representing prominent schools from across Jamshedpur.
Instituted in memory of Mr. Albert Barrow, an eminent educationist, first Secretary of CISCE and a former Member of Parliament. The competition aims to promote creative thinking, originality, and the art of powerful expression among students. Through this initiative, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) continues its legacy of commitment to impart quality education and by imparting innovative measures in the teaching learning processes.
The day began with a dignified inaugural session graced by Mrs. Swarna Mishra, Principal of Dayanand Public School, and Ms. Archana Rehal, Vice Principal, who welcomed the esteemed guests and participants. The host school was also honoured to welcome Mrs. Reema Sengupta, Supervisor who oversaw the competition as an official observer. The event provided a platform by creating an atmosphere rich in academic dialogue and literary enthusiasm.
As the participants settled in, anticipation filled the air. Each student was given a choice of topics, carefully curated to stimulate creativity and introspection. The themes ranged from contemporary social issues and philosophical reflections to futuristic imaginings and personal narratives. Students were encouraged to delve deep into their thoughts, articulate their ideas, and let their words flow with clarity and conviction.

In her brief address during the event, Mrs. Reema Sengupta appreciated the arrangements made by Dayanand Public School and commended the students for their sincere efforts.
