Dayanand Public School organized the Intra-School Primary English and Hindi Choral Recitation Competition 2026 on 1st September 2026 for students from L.K.G. to Std. III. The competition was conducted in two parts, with the English Choral Recitation held in the morning, followed by the Hindi Choral Recitation at 11:00 a.m.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by group choral recitations by the participating primary classes.
The theme for the English Choral Recitation was “Two Voices.” The young participants showcased their confidence, pronunciation, expressions, voice modulation and teamwork through their performances.
The competition was judged by two eminent and experienced English educators, Mrs Parminder Kaur and Mrs Jayashree Sharma. Mrs Parminder Kaur is a dedicated English teacher with 12 years of teaching experience at ADLS Sunshine School. She holds a Master’s degree in English (M.A.) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and has been instrumental in developing students’ language skills, critical thinking and appreciation for literature.
Mrs Jayashree Sharma, a Gold Medallist from Ranchi University, has had an illustrious career in education. She served as the Head of the Department of English and Moderator of the Press and Debating Clubs. She worked at Rajendra Vidyalaya for more than a decade and later served Loyola School for two decades before superannuating in February 2020.
Following the English competition, the Hindi Choral Recitation Competition commenced at 11:00 a.m. The theme for the Hindi recitation was “Nature and Pollution.” The students presented their poems with great enthusiasm, beautiful expressions and impressive coordination.
The Hindi competition was judged by Mrs Sarabjeet Kaur, a retired Hindi teacher from Gulmohur School with nearly 39 years of teaching experience, and Mrs Pushpa Pandey, an experienced Hindi teacher at Rajendra Vidyalaya who has been teaching for nearly 16 years.The young participants delivered outstanding performances and recited the poems with confidence, clarity and enthusiasm. The judges appreciated the efforts of the students and expressed their happiness at witnessing such impressive performances. They also congratulated the teachers for their dedication, guidance and hard work in preparing the children.
The Principal, along with the esteemed judges, presented prizes to the winners and applauded all the participants for their enthusiastic performances. The students were encouraged to continue developing their confidence, creativity and communication skills and to participate wholeheartedly in future competitions.
The event concluded on a positive note, celebrating the joy of language, literature, teamwork and self-expression among the young learners of Dayanand Public School.
